MOL 6400 Week 1 Leadership Style Writing Assignment Charles Campbell-King Wilmington University 10/30/2017 What is your leadership style? My MBTI type is consul personality (ESFJ, -A/-T), extraverted, sensing, feeling and judging. This result means that I am more Extraverted than Introverted, I rely on Sense more than Intuition, and I make decisions based on my Feelings rather than Thinking, and I Judge more than I Perceive. Exec Summary: The source of all conflict is a missed expectation, a miscommunicated needed, or a broken promise to self. I have such high standards that I often procrastinate because I want the result to be â€Å"perfect†, but beat myself up for missing the deadline and/or bar I set for myself. This†¦show more content†¦With the plenty of â€Å"opportunities of improvement† that I have been presented, in the my current role; as we discussed in class, I will have to shift from micro-managing some people and activities and let go and let God, other things. How will you adapt your style to meet the needs of your organization and your employees? Some opportunities for improvement that I am going to work on : †¢ Delegate work †¢ Learn to state your stand assertively without getting too emotional †¢ Try to resolve conflicts instead of avoiding them †¢ Resist the urge to micromanage †¢ Give and receive negative feedback constructively †¢ Learn to accept uncertainties †¢ Not judge too quickly †¢ Allow debates and disagreements to happen, as they can lead to synergistic solutions and mutual growth ESFJs have an extreme dislike of conflict or disagreements of any sort. When they feel offended, slighted or hurt by their partners, they will not speak up about it. Instead, they tend to keep it inside, hoping to avoid the inevitable confrontation and conflict that will come. However, this often comes out later on when there is a trigger event enough to cause them to bring up all of these unspoken incidents.
